Wills Bisgrove is entirely produced by Australian artisans and craftsmen here in their local upholstery furniture workshop. After more than 90 years of family tradition, John Sharkey ( Wills Furniture ) and Denny Toffoletti ( Bisgrove Upholstery ) merged their skills together to create a world class quality business. 

John has worked within the business now for over 30 years, interacting with Interior Designers and Decorators on a daily basis. John, in representing Wills Bisgrove, is in constant contact with fabric manufacturers, staying ahead of the trends and developing new directions. He predominantly works with companies such as Domestic Textiles, Warwick Fabrics and Elliott Clarke as well as numerous other key manufacturers of fabrics.

Denny has also been working in the industry for over 30 years managing his own business. He has been hands on providing the highest quality upholstery services to the designer trade, commercial businesses and retail clients. Denny has a great eye for quality and a wonderful understanding of design. This enabled him to become a highly regarded artisan of his upholstery trade as well as the ability to manage a busy workshop with cutters, upholsterers and sewers.

This combination of John and Denny together has certainly provided a furniture business where all their clients can confidently refer their important clientele too, knowing that they will be rewarded with the quality, comfort and design that they have promised their loyal clients.

Paul Newham, son of the original upholsterers from the Newham family, as well as Guido Toffoletti from the original Bisgrove Upholstery business, still provide advice and direction within the Wills Bisgrove workshop on tooling, methodology and staff training.

Both their inputs are greatly valued as it maintains a connection with the precise craftsmanship and artisanship of earlier times. The Newham & Toffoletti families have been well involved with Wills Bisgrove for over 50 years. Both have instilled rigid quality standards that have come to represent the Wills Bisgrove gold stamp of excellence. Seamstresses, upholsterers and machinists all ensure precise planning and fabric preparation.

The Factory, located at 1346 Toorak Road, Camberwell 3124, is operational and clients are welcome to visit and view its operations.

Designers and Decorators select fabrics, colours and the style that complements the overall interior design of their project. The Wills Bisgrove team then take the Wills’ classical designs and bring them to life with the fabrics, colours and designs selected. All furniture is handcrafted from the finest kiln dried Australian hardwood timbers. 

Framing is Australian F17 Victorian Ash hardwood, hand-picked and of the highest grade. All corners are 'blocked, dowelled and screwed”. Traditional upholstery methods including jute webbing and steel hourglass coil springs ensure a perfect finish and sumptuous, comfortable seating. Classic furniture designs, developed over 50 years, are available in a range of traditional styles. For example, sofa styles such as the Adelaide, Georgian, Macquarie and Victoria.

But real innovation and creativity see constant additions to the Wills Bisgrove range.
